Gillett Creative LLC is dedicated to merging various materials, including Blenko Dalle slab glass, kiln-fired glass paint, Raku sculpture, wood, and metal. Each piece reflects a unique narrative that celebrates the beauty and diversity of the PNW, inviting viewers to appreciate the intricate details and emotional depth within every sculpture.

Process
Our artistic vision is rooted in experimentation and exploration. Each sculpture is a harmonious blend of materials that tells a story of nature and the human experience. Our process celebrates the natural material textures and visual properties. We love the transparency of glass and how the light illuminates through. Borrowing the chipping of edges from traditional Dalle De Verre techniques to create light refractions on our pieces. Traditional Kiln-fired glass painting requires several firings for each color and adds depth to the glass surface painting. Clay sculpture is my passion. Creating life and personality from a lump of clay. Raku firing adds another level. It's a mix of danger and mystery. The excitement of taking red-hot pieces out of the kiln and putting them in combustibles is exciting. Opening the kiln to see the effects and colors that emerge, its artisitc magic.
